On the evening of May 6th, Yihang Intelligence announced that its unmanned electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft EH216-S has successfully completed its first manned flight demonstration in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking the UAE's first such flight in the Middle East.
In addition, EH216-F (for high-rise firefighting) and EH216-L (for air logistics) have successfully completed their first flights in the United Arab Emirates, showcasing various application scenarios for unmanned eVTOL aircraft.
Yihang Intelligent EH216-S is the world's first eVTOL aircraft with three complete certificates, namely Model Certificate (TC), Airworthiness Certificate (AC), and Production License (PC). The EH216-S has a body length of 5.73 meters and a height of 1.93 meters. The official claim is that it can be fully charged within two hours, with a maximum flight speed of 130 kilometers per hour, a range of 25 minutes, and a designed range of 30 kilometers.
