A Southwest Airlines plane was hit by a bullet before takeoff.
On the evening of November 15th local time, Southwest Airlines issued a statement stating that its flight number 2494 was shot at Dallas Lufield Airport. At the time of the incident, passengers had already boarded the plane and it was preparing to take off.
According to reports, the incident did not cause any casualties, and the source of the bullets is currently unclear. Dallas police are investigating the incident.
A spokesperson for Southwest Airlines stated that a bullet hit the right side of the plane as the crew was preparing to take off. Southwest Airlines Flight 2494 was preparing to fly to Indianapolis when the crew was about to take off when a bullet apparently hit the right side of the plane, just below the flight deck. The plane has now ceased service.
