On January 23rd, Google Cloud announced that its cloud computing department had decided to cancel certain data fees for customers transferring data from its cloud platform to other data centers. Google Cloud has cancelled the fee for customers to transfer data from its cloud platform to other suppliers or data centers this month, becoming the first major cloud provider to cancel this fee. Amit Zavery, Vice President and Platform Director of Google Cloud, said, "We want to cancel this fee because we believe that if customers want to leave the Google Cloud platform and find a better supplier, they should be able to do it easily and quickly without paying any form of cost."
