On January 16th, sources revealed that oil giant Shell has indefinitely suspended all voyages through the Red Sea.
Shipping officials reported that last month, a tanker rented by Shell to transport Indian aircraft fuel was attacked by drones in the Red Sea and harassed by armed ships from Husai. It is reported that Shell took action last week to suspend all transportation through the Red Sea, fearing that a successful attack would lead to a large-scale oil spill in the area and pose a risk to the safety of its crew.
