Shanghai, July 28 (Xinhua) -- NIO held its 2024 Innovation and Technology Day event in Shanghai on July 27, and the company's founder Li Bin announced the successful chip fabrication of the 5-nanometer intelligent driving chip "Shenji NX9031" at the event.
It is reported that the NIO "Shenji NX9031" chip and underlying software have been independently designed. This chip has over 50 billion transistors and can achieve fast and stable delay processing, enabling all-weather and all scene recognition, allowing vehicles to complete braking response faster in emergency situations.
On the same day, NIO's SkyOS, a comprehensive operating system designed for artificial intelligence, was officially released in full. The development of this operating system took 4 years, connecting intelligent hardware, computing platforms, communication and energy systems at the bottom level, achieving unified management and coordination of vehicle connectivity, vehicle control, intelligent driving, digital cockpit, mobile applications, etc.
NIO founder Li Bin stated that the company has established a key technology foundation for intelligent electric vehicles. Combining "core" and "soul", it achieves a close integration of hardware and software, computing power and algorithms, supporting intelligent electric vehicles to create a more ultimate user experience.
