Qu Jing said, "Before releasing the short video, I did not seek the company's opinion in advance, which did not comply with the relevant procedures and did not represent the company's position. I hereby clarify and apologize. There are many inappropriate and uncomfortable aspects in the video, which have caused serious harm to the company's values and corporate culture, and I sincerely apologize.". Qu Jing stated that the original intention of posting short videos was to do a good job, but being too anxious and using inappropriate methods has caused discomfort and trouble for everyone. She sincerely accepts various criticisms. In the future, I will seriously improve my personal communication and management methods, correct mistakes, and care more about my colleagues.
In the past week or so, Qu Jing has posted multiple videos on her personal video account on topics such as "professional women, daily public relations". Due to the clear indication of "Baidu Vice President" in the personal profile of his account, and the conflicting topics involved in the video content, it quickly ignited traffic and became a hot topic on various platforms. Currently, his fan base has approached 1 million people.
Qu Jing published several videos on her personal Tiktok number, which caused controversy. In the video, Qu Jing claimed that 300 letters of complaint had been written by employees. Qu Jing claimed that "most of the contents in the letters were libel and fabricated". In addition, Qu Jing also talked about her management experience, "If an employee breaks up and resigns, I will criticize them immediately. Why should I consider the employee's family... I am not her mother-in-law, but my main concern is whether he can deliver results to me in a timely manner in his position..."
Due to Qu Jing's video content being deemed too intense, it triggered public opinion. According to the surging news, some analysts pointed out that several videos released by Qu Jing all have the element of "lead war", which is a conventional method for the rapid rise of personal IP of non hot event parties, and is common in microblog, WeChat official account, Baijia account, Tiktok, etc.
On May 7, Qu Jing cleared all the videos on Tiktok.
On May 8th, in response to rumors that Baidu's Vice President of Public Relations, Qu Jing, has been fired from Baidu, according to the Geng Zhige column of the Global Times, Qu Jing herself responded by saying, "I'm working.". According to Pengpai News, an insider at Baidu said, "I just saw her start working." In addition, a staff member at Baidu's switchboard also said that Qu Jing's information can still be found in the system, and if it can be found, it indicates that she is still working.
According to public information, Qu Jing graduated from the School of Foreign Affairs and previously served as Vice President of Huawei's Public and Government Affairs Department and Minister of China's Media Affairs Department. In August 2021, it was reported by the media that Qu Jing had joined Baidu as Vice President (VP), responsible for the public communication department of the group.
