Regarding the fire accident at Shanxi Jingke Energy's Shanxi factory, Jingke Energy (688223. SH) made a statement today and is expected to have a certain impact on the overall performance of 2024. According to the announcement, a fire broke out on the roof of the first phase slicing battery workshop of Shanxi Jingke Energy No.2 Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanxi Jingke"), a wholly-owned subsidiary. After the accident, the company immediately activated the emergency plan, quickly took measures to evacuate personnel, and fully cooperated with the local fire department to implement on-site firefighting and rescue. With the firefighting efforts of local fire emergency departments, the relevant fire situation has been controlled and extinguished.
For the specific damage situation, the company stated that the specific loss situation is currently being verified and evaluated. This accident did not cause any casualties, and the factory, equipment, and inventory at the accident site were damaged to a certain extent. The company stated that it is preliminarily expected to have a certain impact on the full year performance of 2024.
For the impact, the company stated that the damaged assets have been insured with property insurance and have reported to the insurance company. The relevant insurance loss assessment and claims work is being carried out in an orderly manner. At the same time, the production and subsequent ramp up progress of the first phase of the Shanxi base will be affected to a certain extent due to this accident. The company is actively planning and arranging, adjusting production processes and order allocation, and making every effort to reduce or eliminate the impact on customer order delivery.
Shanxi Jingke is an important expansion project of the company, and the first phase of the project was put into operation on March 26th this year. According to the company's previous statement, this is a support for enhancing Jingke Energy's competitiveness in the challenge of overcapacity. "In addition to the advantages of integration and technological leadership, the most important thing is digitalization."
This project includes an integrated production capacity of 56GW single crystal rods, 56GW silicon wafers, 56GW high-efficiency batteries, and 56GW components, with a total investment of approximately 56 billion yuan. In the initial planning, with the expansion of production and process upgrading, the company's N-type link is expected to experience a simultaneous increase in quantity and price.
With the first mover advantage of N-type TOPCon, Jingke Energy achieved a net profit attributable to the parent company's shareholders of 7.44 billion yuan in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 153.20%. In terms of shipments, the company's component shipments increased by 77.1% year-on-year last year, reaching 78.5GW, winning the global component sales championship for the fifth time. Among them, the company shipped 48.41GW of N-type components, a year-on-year increase of 352%, and the industry accounted for nearly 40%.
According to Jingke Energy's previous plan, the company will strive to achieve the annual shipment target of 100-110GW in 2024, with N-type shipments accounting for nearly 90%.
