On October 18th local time, the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States announced that it will conduct a new round of safety audits on Boeing as part of its active supervision of the company. The new round of review will investigate issues such as risk assessment quality, resource allocation, and compliance with regulatory requirements, and is expected to take three months.
It is reported that the Office of the Inspector General of the US Department of Transportation criticized the Federal Aviation Administration's supervision of Boeing's production last week, stating that it did not have an effective system to monitor Boeing's various manufacturing facilities.
Previously, a Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft operated by Alaska Airlines had an accident on January 5th this year, where a door stopper on the side of the aircraft's cabin fell off shortly after takeoff. Boeing has been exposed to ongoing quality control issues, prompting investigations by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration. (CCTV News)
