Nvidia plans to purchase high bandwidth memory (HBM) chips from Samsung, a key component of artificial intelligence processors. As a South Korean electronics giant, Samsung is trying to catch up with its competitor SK Hynix, which has recently started mass production of its next generation HBM chips.
