The car price will be reduced by 70000 yuan, and the monthly service fee will be reduced from 980 yuan per month to 728 yuan per month; By purchasing a long-term battery pack and using BaaS, the car price will be reduced by 128000 yuan, and the monthly service fee will be reduced from 1680 yuan/month to 1128 yuan/month.
Regarding the new BaaS battery rental service pricing system, NIO CEO Li Bin stated that based on the BaaS solution, users can save a lot of money on both long and standard range, making it a more reasonable way to buy a car, especially for users who have been using it for three to five years.
At the same time, NIO has launched a rejuvenation gift voucher policy for BaaS battery rental services - a 100 yuan rejuvenation gift voucher is given for each payment of BaaS bills, which can be directly repurchased to offset the new car model. In addition, NIO has launched a BaaS limited time discount promotion. From now until May 31st, users who choose the BaaS plan to purchase a car can also enjoy a limited time gift of paying 4 free battery rental service fees and receiving 1 free, as well as 60 free battery exchange coupons.
NIO stated that the price adjustment of BaaS battery rental services this time is due to NIO's unique battery swapping system and refined operation of power batteries. NIO has established a full lifecycle battery health operation system, achieving full coverage of the three major factors that affect battery life: temperature, strength, and frequency. Based on the operation and scheduling of battery big data, NIO has extended the life cycle and value of batteries within its existing system, bringing space for price adjustment of BaaS battery rental services.
The battery life cycle is the most important part of NIO BaaS's battery rental service business model. On that day, NIO also proposed a 15 year solution for long-life power batteries and reached a cooperation agreement with CATL. Both parties will promote the research and development innovation of long-life batteries based on NIO's battery swapping scenario requirements.
