On January 13th, the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States announced an audit of the manufacturing of Boeing 737 MAX series aircraft. The trigger for this action was a door stopper (embedded emergency hatch) that fell off during the flight of a Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft operated by Alaska Airlines on January 5th. This plane made an emergency landing without causing any casualties. After inspection by investigators, it was found that four bolts that were supposed to fix the door plug in place were missing.
