According to a document submitted on the evening of February 28th local time, lawyers from Google's parent company Alphabet and gaming company Epic Games have notified judges that their negotiations have reached a "stalemate" in the Play App Store antitrust case negotiations. Last December, San Francisco ruled in favor of Epic's antitrust lawsuit against Google, and Google Play, the Google app store, engaged in unfair competition in charging developers fees. In early February, Google filed an opposition motion to the court. US District Judge James Donato is demanding that the two companies attempt to reach a settlement to resolve Epic's antitrust allegations. Donato stated in January this year that if an agreement cannot be reached, he will hold a hearing in mid March.
