Earlier that day, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida gave a video speech at the opening ceremony of TSMC Kumamoto First Factory, stating that the Japanese government will continue to implement support measures such as large-scale semiconductor production. The Japanese government has also decided to support TSMC's second Kumamoto factory. Previously, the Japanese government had announced a policy of providing up to 476 billion yen in subsidies for the construction of TSMC's first Kumamoto factory.
