As TSMC's orders for advanced processes below 5 nanometers fill up, major customer AMD is sprinting into the computer central processing unit (CPU) industry. This year, they will launch a new architecture platform called "Zen 5" with the R&D code name "Nirvana" to strengthen the layout of AI terminal applications, covering areas such as desktop computers, laptops, and servers, allowing TSMC's advanced processes to once again receive large orders. TSMC has never commented on the dynamics of individual customers and orders. The legal representative pointed out that AMD's orders to TSMC have only increased and not decreased this year, mainly in the 3, 4, and 5 nanometer processes, driven by the continuous smooth shipment of new PC and server products, as well as existing high-speed computing (HPC) chips, further boosting TSMC's order taking momentum.
