On January 30th, due to non-compliance with Toyota's industrial engine certification, Toyota decided to suspend operations on six production lines at four Japanese factories until this Thursday. Toyota announced on the 29th that it will suspend shipments of 10 models, after supplier Toyota Industries disclosed some certification issues with diesel engines. Toyota stated in a statement on the 29th that an investigation committee found non compliant behavior in horsepower output tests of three engine models. The company claims that there are 10 models worldwide that use these engines, of which 6 are in Japan.
