On December 17th, Li Bin, founder, chairman, and CEO of NIO, tested a 150kWh ultra long range battery pack while driving an ET7 electric vehicle. After more than 14 hours of driving, we achieved a result of driving over 1000 kilometers on one battery. The average energy consumption per 100 kilometers of 1044 kilometers in this test is 13.2 kWh, with a remaining 3% of electricity. It is expected that the vehicle can still travel more than 30 kilometers.
NIO introduced that the 150 degree ultra long endurance battery pack is the world's first thermal runaway free soft pack CTP battery, with a cell energy density of 360Wh/kg. It is currently the product with the highest power and energy density that can be mass-produced in China. This endurance test marks the official entry of the era of one thousand kilometers for intelligent pure electric vehicles. This will further promote the transformation of the automotive industry from gasoline powered vehicles to pure electric vehicles.
In addition, Li Bin announced during the endurance test of the 150kWh battery pack that the executive flagship sedan ET9 will make its debut at the 2023 NIO Day event held on the 23rd of this month. According to Li Bin, ET9 is a technology flagship representing the world's top technologies.
