On March 4th, the Supreme Court of British Columbia in Canada approved a settlement agreement between Apple and the iPhone battery slowdown incident, agreeing to pay up to $14.4 million to eligible class action members. This solution is applicable to residents of all provinces in Canada except Quebec. This class action lawsuit accuses Apple of intentionally providing software updates, causing iPhone 6 and iPhone 7 to run slower. The website representing the class action lawsuit claims that Apple users who purchased iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, SE, 7 or 7 Plus with iOS 10.2.1 or higher (for iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus or SE) and iOS 11.2 or higher (for iPhone 7 or 7 Plus) before December 21, 2017 may be eligible for settlement.
