Vale will install a wind propulsion system to assist in decarbonization of iron ore shipping on the world's largest ore carrier. On November 13th, reporters learned from Vale that the company has signed an agreement with Oman's shipowner Asyad to install rotor sails on a Valemax ship named "Sohar Max". Valemax is the world's largest mining ship, which can reduce emissions of up to 3000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent annually.
