China Securities Network News (Reporter Yu Liyan) NIO Day 2024 was recently held in Guangzhou. This year's NIO Day was held on the occasion of NIO's 10th anniversary, with the theme of "Together&Further", becoming a stage to showcase NIO's decade long innovation achievements and walk alongside innovators. Over 22000 users attended the event, the largest scale in history.
At this year's NIO Day, the NIO ET9, positioned as the flagship of intelligent electric administration, was officially launched at a price of 788000 yuan. The ET9 integrates NIO's twelve self-developed full stack technologies, with a total of 1081 patent applications. It is planned to start delivery in March 2025. At the same time, NIO's intelligent electric high-end car brand Firefly was officially launched, with the brand spirit of "self luminous". The product Firefly made its global debut and opened pre-sales in the Chinese market, with a pre-sale price of 148800 yuan.

The NIO ET9 is the first vehicle in China to be equipped with steer by wire technology. NIO engineers explain that this technology is similar to using game controllers to control vehicles in racing games, but in practical applications of cars, it must meet stricter safety verification, have higher system reliability, and ensure response speed with almost no delay to ensure driving safety and maneuverability.
Li Bin revealed that all 999 units of the NIO ET9 debut model have been sold out, exceeding the company's expectations in terms of order volume. This result marks a strong start for NIO ET9 in the market, especially in the high-end vehicle segment. Li Bin emphasized that as a high-end car model, the ET9's monthly sales of 1000 units have exceeded expectations, and it is expected to face the situation of user demand for production capacity after its launch. NIO's new products are expected to have high market demand in the future.
NIO is currently the only new car manufacturing company that integrates three sub brands. Among them, NIO focuses on the high-end market, Ledao focuses on the home market, and Firefly is a high-end small car brand. For the three different positioning brands, Li Bin said that this is based on the company's vision. Whether it is a car with nearly one million or tens of thousands of yuan, NIO hopes that more people can drive smart electric vehicles.
NIO recently expects the company to achieve breakeven by 2026 and nearly double its sales by 2025. Regarding this, Li Bin said, "The NIO brand alone cannot double its production capacity. Now, with Ledao and Firefly, it is easier to achieve this goal. The NIO brand has about 200000 units this year, and Ledao will enter complete growth next year. The goal is to reach a production capacity and delivery of 20000 units by March next year. With Ledao and NIO, the annual production capacity is more than 400000 units. Adding Firefly, doubling sales is a reasonable goal
