Robin Lee said that the big model has been popular for nearly two years, and related technologies have been iterated and innovated at an unprecedented speed. From large companies to entrepreneurs to venture capital, people from all walks of life are looking for super applications based on the big model in the era of generative AI.
"If you want to ask me, what is the biggest change for the industry in the past 24 months?" Robin Lee said, "My answer is that the big model has basically eliminated illusion, and the accuracy of answering questions has been greatly improved." In Robin Lee's view, this makes AI usable and trustworthy from "serious nonsense".
According to Robin Lee, as of the beginning of November this year, the daily average adjustment volume of Baidu Wenxin has exceeded 1.5 billion times, an increase of about 30 times compared with the 50 million times first disclosed a year ago. Robin Lee said that the average daily adjustment volume of Wenxin Model "grew faster than expected", which shows that AI is really in demand. He sighed that the steep growth curve represents the explosion of large-scale model applications in China in the past two years.
On the spot, Robin Lee released iRAG, a retrieval enhanced Wensheng map technology. It combines the billion level image resources searched by Baidu with powerful basic modeling capabilities to generate various hyper realistic images, "the overall effect far exceeds the native system of Wenshengtu, removing the machine flavor". IRAG technology greatly improves the usability of AI generated images, with commercial value such as no illusion, hyper realism, no cost, and immediate availability.
In Robin Lee's opinion, the basic model capability is now ready and will usher in the shining moment of AI applications. "Every application is a star, and every application will become a force to change the world".
Among them, in terms of agents, Robin Lee said that agents are the most mainstream form of AI applications and will soon usher in an explosion point. He compared making intelligent agents to making websites in the PC era or creating self media accounts in the mobile era. "The difference is that agents are more like people, more intelligent, more like your sales, customer service and assistant." Robin Lee said, "Agents may become the native age of AI, a new carrier of content, information and services." It is understood that Wenxin agent platform has attracted 150000 enterprises and 800000 developers, covering many application scenarios.
Robin Lee showed four different types of agents on the spot, namely, corporate agents, role agents, tool agents and industry agents. Taking company type intelligent agents as an example, he said, "In the future, the company's official intelligent agent is likely to replace the official website and become the first interface directly facing consumers.
Robin Lee revealed that the tool agent "Free Canvas" jointly developed by Baidu Library and Baidu Online Disk is about to be released. Users can drag and drop rich media materials such as documents, audio and video freely on an interface similar to the "canvas" to quickly generate multimodal content. Free Canvas is a versatile whiteboard powered by the Wenxin multimodal large model, which can help users complete all tasks from searching for information to editing, generating, and sharing. Robin Lee said: "This is not a futures, but an immediately available spot. It is a new quality productivity that truly serves the creation!"
In terms of the application of the big model, Robin Lee released 100 industrial applications based on the big model, covering manufacturing, energy, transportation, government affairs, finance, automobile, education, the Internet and many other industries. Robin Lee said, "The release of these top 100 industrial applications actually represents our cognition and attitude. Baidu is not going to launch a 'super application', but to constantly help more people and enterprises create millions of 'super useful' applications."
Robin Lee also released a code free tool "Seconds" on the spot, which has three features: code free programming, multi-agent collaboration and multi tool invocation. Robin Lee called it "the most complex multi-agent collaboration tool in human history so far".
