At the meeting, Baidu released the sixth generation of turnip sprint driverless vehicle equipped with Baidu Apollo's sixth generation auto drive system solution. It is reported that the car has fully applied the solution of "Baidu Apollo ADFM big model+hardware products+security architecture".
Baidu stated that the cost of the sixth generation unmanned car equipped with the Carrot Run has decreased by 60% compared to the fifth generation car, with a price of 200000 yuan, once again breaking the industry record. The first batch of delivered sixth generation unmanned vehicles will be put into use in Wuhan. In addition, Baidu stated that it will complete the deployment of thousands of unmanned vehicles in Wuhan within the year.
It is reported that with the completion of the construction of the automatic operation network for the Carrot Run unmanned vehicle, operating costs will be reduced by 30%. Through continuous optimization of autonomous driving technology and the efficiency of the human vehicle cabin, service costs will be reduced by 80%. Wang Yunpeng, Vice President of Baidu Group and President of Intelligent Driving Business Group, stated that Baidu and its automotive partners will continue to think and define unmanned vehicles, with the goal of reducing product costs by half and increasing capabilities by 10 times per generation.
It is reported that as of April this year, Baidu Apollo's autonomous driving mileage has exceeded 100 million kilometers.
