[Introduction] After 13 years, JD Alipay will "hold hands" again, and all the head e-commerce platforms will be connected to Alipay
Reporter Cao Wenjing from China Fund News
JD and Alibaba have made new progress in dismantling the wall.
The reporter found that Alipay payment has been opened in Jingdong Mall. Today evening, Alipay confirmed this information to reporters, and responded that Alipay will continue to increase its openness, explore connectivity and deepen cooperation with different platforms, and create greater value for businesses and consumers.
The smooth access of JD to Alipay means that JD Ali has taken a step further in "tearing down the wall". Many industry insiders believe that it has become the main theme to "tear down the wall" between Internet giants and increase openness and win-win cooperation. So far, the payment channels of the head e-commerce platforms of the whole network have all been connected to Alipay, and Alipay's opening strategy has ushered in new benefits.
Alipay responds to JD's access: continue to increase openness and create greater value
It is rumored that JD's access to Alipay has made new progress.
Today's reporter found that Alipay payment has been opened in Jingdong Mall. In response, Alipay confirmed this information to reporters - through Alipay, some users have successfully completed payment on JD. Alipay also responded that Alipay will continue to increase its openness, explore connectivity and deepen cooperation with different platforms, and create greater value for businesses and consumers.
It is understood that the "Alipay payment" option has appeared when purchasing some goods in JD, and you can choose tools such as Yu'e Bao, which is parallel to JD payment, WeChat payment and cloud flash payment. However, it has not yet been fully launched, only covering some products and users.
When the two sides announced their cooperation earlier, they said that Alipay would access JD before the "Double 11" and was expected to complete full coverage in recent days.
It is worth noting that this is the second "hand in hand" cooperation between Alipay and JD after 13 years. In fact, there are traces of "ice breaking" between the two companies. Public information shows that in July this year, Alipay and JD.com launched cooperation in medical insurance online drug purchase services in Beijing and other places. Previously, JD Express, Home, Made in Beijing and other businesses also opened official small programs to operate on Alipay.
A number of insiders said that it is good for consumers to "tear down the walls" of Internet giants. The construction of the Internet wall began in the reckless period of infrastructure construction and rapid expansion of the platform. Nowadays, the growth rate of domestic e-commerce is slowing down, and the cost of expansion is high, so the benefits of building walls are already very small. On the contrary, demolishing walls can improve the efficiency of infrastructure utilization, reduce operating costs, and enable both parties to obtain differentiated users. This is beneficial for both Alibaba and JD.com.
Cainiao successfully connects to JD's third-party platform
JD Logistics and Cainiao have also achieved "interoperability".
On October 28th, there were market reports that Cainiao has fully integrated into JD's third-party platform. According to insiders close to JD Logistics, after JD Logistics integrates with Taobao and Tmall, JD's third-party platform will also integrate with Cainiao. Non JD self operated third-party merchants can choose Cainiao Express and Cainiao Large Item Business.
On October 16th, JD Logistics announced a cooperation agreement with Taotian Group, which means that JD Logistics will fully integrate into the Taobao Tmall platform, and platform merchants will be able to choose JD Logistics as their service provider.
According to media reports, in the first half of the "Double 11" cycle, the docking system between the two parties has been basically completed. Taobao and Tmall merchants have chosen JD Logistics as their service provider, and consumers can also check JD Logistics' trajectory on Taobao and Tmall apps.
Time changes easily, and the Internet is moving towards a new direction of "connectivity". Several industry insiders have stated that JD and Alibaba, former rivals, are now "breaking down barriers" and choosing to shake hands and make peace. E-commerce and logistics support each other, and the choice of cooperation by giants also means the arrival of more opportunities.
