Apple will become the first technology giant to face accusations under the EU's new digital law. The EU will accuse Apple of allegedly suppressing competition in its mobile app store. Three people familiar with the investigation by the European Commission stated that the Commission has determined that Apple has not fulfilled its obligation to allow app developers to "guide" users to use services outside of its App Store without charging them fees. This will be the first accusation against technology companies under the Digital Markets Act. According to insiders, regulatory agencies have only made preliminary investigation results, and Apple may still take action to correct its actions, which may lead to regulatory agencies reassessing any final decision. In addition, the timing of any announcement may also change.
