On May 30th, at the 2024 Baidu Mobile Ecological Universe Conference held in Suzhou, He Junjie, Senior Vice President of Baidu Group and General Manager of Baidu Mobile Ecological Business Group, delivered a keynote speech on "Making Intelligent Agents Available to Everyone". He believes that Baidu has the responsibility and ability to be a universal user of new technologies, benefiting everyone.
He Junjie stated that Baidu's mobile ecosystem is a hotbed for the growth of large model applications and also the forefront of the wave of intelligent agents. Whether it's users who pursue convenience, customers seeking growth, or ecosystem partners committed to innovation, they can all enjoy the infinite opportunities brought by a low threshold, multi scenario, and high-value intelligent agent ecosystem.
How to enable everyone to better utilize AI and turn big models into tangible tools to solve specific problems in work and life? Robin Lee, the founder, chairman and CEO of Baidu, once said that agents may be the most popular way to use big models that are closest to everyone in the future. He Junjie also gave his own answer based on this: making intelligent agents available to everyone.
Based on powerful foundational models, intelligent agents can be generated in batches and applied in various scenarios. To fully unleash the potential of large models, more applications and intelligent agents are needed, and Baidu Mobile Ecology is the best landing platform.
Taking Baidu Search as an example, currently 11% of search services are generated by AI, and more and more intelligent agents are providing users with better content and services.
In He Junjie's view, large models should not only roll in computing power and parameters, but also roll out scenarios and problems in order to fully unleash the potential and value of large models.
At this conference, Baidu mobile ecological businesses such as Baidu Search, ERNIE Bot App, Baidu Library, Baidu E-commerce, Wenxin Agent Platform, Baidu App, etc. all released capability upgrades based on big models and agents, comprehensively lowered the threshold of big model applications, and joined hands with users and partners to embrace the new dividend of the AI era.
