Microsoft plans to launch a mobile game store in July to compete with Apple and Google. Sarah Bond, President of Microsoft's Xbox business, announced on May 9th local time that Microsoft will launch its own mobile game online store in July to compete with similar app stores from Apple and Google. Bond said that the store is based on a browser rather than an application, and therefore is not affected by closed ecosystem store policies. The store will launch Microsoft's own game for the first time, offering in-game item discounts related to games such as Candy Crush Legend. Later, Microsoft will open the store to other publishers.
