[European regulatory bodies recommend that insulin be approved once a week for the treatment of diabetes] Novo Nordisk announced that the Commission on Human Medicines (CHMP) of the European Drug Administration had adopted positive opinions and proposed to give Awiqli (basic insulin weekly preparation icodec insulin) a marketing license for the treatment of adult diabetes. Awiqli is a weekly basal insulin analogue designed to meet a full week's basal insulin needs with a single subcutaneous injection.
