On March 21, Baidu AI Cloud held the Qianfan product launch conference. Baidu Vice President Xie Guangjun stated that since the first anniversary of the release of the Qianfan Big Model platform, it has served over 80000 enterprise users and helped them fine tune 13000 big models. The number of applications developed based on the Qianfan platform has exceeded 160000.
Xie Guangjun believes that from these data, it can be seen that the big model industry has truly entered a stage of rapid growth, and 2024 will become the first year of the explosive application of the domestic big model industry.
In the past year, the technology of large models has developed rapidly, and through improvements in model architecture and optimization of training algorithms, the efficiency and performance of large models have significantly improved. At the same time, industry application scenarios are gradually maturing, and the demand for intelligent and personalized services from enterprises and individual users is constantly increasing.
However, Xie Guangjun also stated that during the entire year of contact with enterprises last year, he found that the real industrialization of large models still faces four major challenges: exploring landing scenarios, how to significantly reduce the training and inference costs of large models, how to significantly reduce the threshold for application development, and how to improve application effectiveness.
