According to reports, Apple has acquired Canadian artificial intelligence (AI) startup DarwinAI. Apple aims to aggressively enter the field of generative AI this year, acquiring DarwinAI to add new technology to its arsenal. According to insiders, Apple acquired DarwinAI earlier this year, and dozens of DarwinAI employees have joined Apple's AI department. As part of the transaction, Alexander Wong, an AI researcher at the University of Waterloo, has joined Apple as the director of the AI team. Wong is one of the founding members of DarwinAI.
