On March 13th, Apple announced that TSMC and Murata Productions have joined the Restore Fund as new investors, with TSMC investing $50 million to support carbon removal. The Restore Fund aims to increase global investment in nature based high-quality carbon removal projects to protect important ecosystems. TSMC's investment will reach up to 50 million US dollars; Murata Productions, an iPhone supplier based in Japan, will also invest up to $30 million in the fund. Apple has previously promised to invest $200 million in the second phase of Restore Fund, and with the support of new investments, the current committed capital of Restore Fund has reached $280 million.
