Volkswagen's technology center in China will have over 3000 technical experts to better meet the needs of Chinese customers.
When it comes to cooperation with the new Chinese automaker Xiaopeng Motors, Obom stated that Volkswagen's collaboration with Xiaopeng can fill the gaps in the product line, and related new models will be launched in 2026. Through mutual learning with Xiaopeng Motors, "we have found that we can catch up with the development speed of China." Obemu said that Volkswagen will also develop cooperation with SAIC Group and launch new models in 2026.
Obom stated that Volkswagen values new energy vehicles and plans to launch 40 new models in the coming years, half of which are new energy vehicles.
