On March 6th local time, investigators of the "hatch detachment" accident in the United States accused Boeing officials of not cooperating during the investigation process. Subsequently, Boeing retaliated by stating that it had provided the National Transportation Safety Board with the names of employees who may have engaged in critical work on the aircraft. Boeing also emphasized that the company is making every effort to assist in the investigation.
However, both sides have revealed a new detail in the accident: Boeing may not have any documents to explain how the aircraft lost bolts that could have prevented the accident from happening at the factory. Boeing stated that regarding this document, if there is no record of the disassembly of the door stopper, then there is no file to share. Jennifer Hormandy, the chairman of the National Transportation Safety Commission in the United States, also stated at a Senate hearing that her team has not yet received all the documents and information provided by Boeing. "Two months later, we haven't received these documents and information yet, which is ridiculous," said Hermandy.
