On March 1st, according to the Daily Economic News, it was learned from insiders at JD.com that JD.com has announced the "JD Retail Boss Unit Annual Bonus Distribution Announcement" on its intranet.
The announcement shows that in response to JD's procurement and sales, JD has significantly increased its investment in year-end bonuses, with a year-on-year increase of 72%. Among them, 16 business groups received a total bonus of over 20 times their monthly salary, and the highest business group received a total bonus of over 50 times their monthly salary.
JD issues excess year-end bonuses to procurement and sales employees
According to Daily Economic News, the JD Retail Boss unit was actually an organizational adjustment made by JD in April last year to streamline the organizational hierarchy and give more decision-making power to directly combat business units.
This adjustment is mainly aimed at creating more opportunities, promoting the emergence of excellent Boss talents, and also providing corresponding organizational talent guarantees for JD's low-priced strategy. Adjusting salaries and improving incentive measures are also the results of the implementation of JD Big Boss's organizational transformation.
The internal announcement also shows that "in order to vigorously repay the frontline procurement and sales brothers, the company will comprehensively increase the investment in bonuses, implement distribution according to contribution, and no cap." In addition, in 2024, JD.com will continue to increase resource investment in Boss units to incentivize JD procurement and sales who have made achievements, allowing them to receive incentive returns far beyond the market level.

On February 5th, JD suddenly released good news: starting from February 1st, 2024, over 20000 JD frontline customer service employees have achieved an average annual salary increase of over 30%.
On December 27, 2023, JD Group also announced that starting from January 1, 2024, the annual fixed salary of frontline business personnel such as JD's procurement and sales will increase by nearly 100%. At the beginning of 2024, JD Retail will have an average salary increase of no less than 20% for all employees.
JD stated in its salary increase announcement that this year is the 12th year JD has been committed to delivering goods during the Spring Festival. JD's customer service team will also have over 10000 people dedicated to their positions, providing professional and thoughtful services to accompany users through the holiday. This year, JD.com has provided free "visiting rooms" for the relatives of customer service employees on duty in Suqian, Chengdu, and Wuhan, and organized a series of New Year themed activities such as writing Spring Festival couplets, making dumplings, and having a New Year's Eve dinner to celebrate the Chinese New Year with their families.

The report shows that in the third quarter of 2023, JD Group's revenue was RMB 247.7 billion, an increase of 1.7% compared to the third quarter of 2022; The operating profit for the quarter was RMB 9.3 billion, compared to RMB 8.7 billion in the same period last year. Under non US GAAP, JD Group's operating profit for the quarter was 11.1 billion yuan, compared to 9.9 billion yuan in the same period last year.
