On March 1st, Intel announced the establishment of a new independent FPGA company, Altera, with Sandra Rivera serving as the CEO. According to the statement, the new company Altera will target application markets such as communication, cloud, data center, embedded, industrial, and automotive, and actively integrate AI software to meet future AI inference needs.
