On February 24th, according to insiders, Jeff Bezos, Nvidia, and other large technology companies will invest in a company that develops humanoid robots in order to find new applications for artificial intelligence. According to insiders, startup Figure AI Inc., which also receives support from OpenAI and Microsoft, will raise approximately $675 million in a round of financing, with a pre transaction valuation of approximately $2 billion. Bezos has committed to investing $100 million through his company Explore Investments LLC. Microsoft will invest $95 million, while Nvidia and an Amazon affiliated fund will each provide $50 million. The engineers in the figure are studying a robot that looks and behaves like a human. The company has stated that it hopes its machine named "Figure 01" can perform dangerous work that is not suitable for humans, and its technology will help alleviate labor shortages. (Bloomberg)
