Tesla only sold one electric car in South Korea in January 2024. According to data from Seoul based research firm Carisyou and the South Korean Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Resources, the company only sold one Model Y in the month, marking the worst sales month since July 2022. According to Carisyou data, among all car manufacturers, the number of newly registered electric vehicles in South Korea in January decreased by 80% compared to December last year. A spokesperson for Tesla South Korea stated in a statement that consumers have delayed purchasing electric vehicles until government subsidies are confirmed. (Bloomberg)
