On February 5th local time, space tourism company Virgin Galactic announced that a positioning pin on its VMS Eve carrier had fallen off. Virgin Galactic stated that it discovered this issue during routine post flight inspections and reported it to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on January 31 (last Wednesday), with information to be updated after the review is completed. Virgin Galactic did not specify the specific reason for the detachment of the positioning pin, but only stated that it would not affect the safety of the aircraft or onboard personnel.
