According to CCTV News, on January 25th local time, Reuters reported that global airline and supplier growth plans will be affected after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stops approving production expansion of any Boeing 737 MAX aircraft models.
The Federal Aviation Administration of the United States announced on the 24th that all grounded Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft must undergo a thorough inspection and maintenance program before they are eligible to resume operations. Until the quality control issues discovered during the inspection and maintenance process of the aircraft are resolved, the organization will not agree to any requests from Boeing to expand production, nor will it approve the addition of the 737 MAX production line.
The report states that this means Boeing can continue to produce this model of aircraft at its current monthly production, but cannot increase production. At present, the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States has not indicated the duration of the restrictions, nor has it specified the number of aircraft that Boeing can produce per month.
It is reported that although Alaska Airlines and United Airlines, the American operators of the 737 MAX aircraft, plan to resume operations on the 26th and 28th respectively, experts say that the Federal Aviation Administration's response to quality control issues may delay the delivery of some new aircraft to airlines and further hit suppliers who have already been affected by early accidents and the pandemic of the 737 MAX aircraft.
