JD's "Zhenhu Price" for car maintenance will be further upgraded, with joint brand merchants offering an additional subsidy of 500 million yuan. It is understood that on September 26th last year, Tuhu Yangche was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the first stock in the Hong Kong automotive aftermarket. On the day of its listing, Miao Qin, Vice President of JD.com Group and President of JD Retail Automotive Business Unit, posted on his WeChat Moments, saying, "Congratulations to Youshang for listing and attracting more attention to the automotive aftermarket. Recently, everyone has also seen JD.com introduce the 'Zhenhu Price' for car maintenance. I would like to invite everyone to supervise, and all 'Zhenhu Price' products are 5% lower than Youshang!"
The price war for goods and services in the automotive aftermarket has begun. It is understood that JD Retail has integrated businesses and teams such as complete vehicles, automotive products, second wheel and vehicle maintenance channels, and established a new JD Automotive Business Unit in June last year. After returning to the low-priced strategy, JD's various businesses have made efforts to lower prices, and "Zhenhu Price" is precisely the low-priced marketing campaign launched by JD's car maintenance.
On January 24th of this year, Shanghai Lantu Information Technology Co., Ltd. (the main body company of Tuhu Car Maintenance) filed a lawsuit with the Minhang District People's Court in Shanghai, requesting an order for three defendants, including Beijing Automobile Guangxing Information Technology Co., Ltd. (the main body company of JD Car Maintenance), to compensate 5 million yuan. The reason for the lawsuit is that JD.com's previous promotion of "Zhenhu Price" had an impact on the plaintiff's reputation, and Tuhu claimed that the defendant should delete the relevant expressions of "Zhenhu Price" from all channels.
In response to this, the person in charge of JD's car maintenance mentioned that there are many obstacles in the car maintenance market, such as artificially high prices, excessive maintenance, lack of standards, and uneven services, which affect everyone's experience. JD's "Zhenhu Price" for car maintenance has two meanings. One is to eliminate these "obstacles" by improving efficiency and experience. The other is to reduce the cost of car maintenance for car owners through solid supply chain capabilities, achieving the goal of maintaining good cars at low prices. There is no specific situation for a single enterprise.
