Alaska Airlines issued a statement on January 20th stating that, at the request of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), its maintenance and engineering personnel have completed preliminary inspections of a batch of Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft.
Alaska Airlines stated that it has provided data to Boeing, who will share this data with the FAA for further analysis and consultation. Alaska Airlines stated that it is waiting to take the next steps, including final inspection orders, based on the new information received.
