Canalys released data showing that the global smartphone market grew by 8% in the fourth quarter of 2023, reaching 320 million units. Ending seven consecutive quarters of decline. After the launch of the new iPhone, Apple led the world with a market share of 24%. Samsung ranks second with a 17% share. Xiaomi ranks third with a 13% share, while Chuanyin has been promoted to fourth place for the first time with a 9% share. Vivo ranks fifth with a 7% share. In 2023, the total global shipment of smartphones was 1.1 billion units, a year-on-year decrease of 4%. Apple surpassed Samsung to become the manufacturer with the highest annual shipment volume for the first time, but both have a market share of 20%. Xiaomi, OPPO, and Transsion respectively hold 13%, 9%, and 8% of the market share.
