Bank of America strategists wrote in their report, "We suspect that any significant market volatility this year could be limited - a sharp drop in stocks could prompt the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates; a sharp rise could further relax financial conditions and reignite inflation that the Federal Reserve believes has been stifled. At least in the United States, this will be a year of range fluctuations."
