On January 7th, Toyota Motor Corporation issued a notice on its official website expressing its deepest condolences and sympathy to all victims of the January 1st Dengdian Peninsula earthquake. Toyota Motor Corporation stated that after careful consideration, it has decided to continue operating its automobile factory in Japan regarding the company's factory operation schedule after January 8th. Due to the impact of the earthquake on many local suppliers and their subsidiaries, the company will use inventory components from outside the affected areas. Due to the continued aftershocks in the Dengden area, Toyota will make a separate decision on operations after January 15th.
