Manchester United released a statement on December 24th stating that they have reached an agreement with the chairman of the English Football Club, Ratcliffe, to acquire up to 25% of Manchester United's A-shares. The English Football Club has entrusted responsibility for football operations. According to the statement, Ratcliffe will acquire 25% of Class B shares and up to 25% of Class A shares, with an additional $300 million (approximately £ 236 million) for future investments at Old Trafford Stadium. As part of the transaction, Ineos Group has accepted the board's request to take responsibility for the management of the club's football operations, including the operations of men's and women's football, as well as youth training.
