On August 31st, General Electric (GE) has decided to acquire a UK climate technology startup to reduce the impact of the aviation industry on the environment. General Electric Aerospace has reached an agreement to acquire Satavia, a company dedicated to mitigating the warming effects of aircraft wakes. Satavia was founded in 2013 with the initial idea of protecting aircraft engines from harmful substances such as dust, ice, and volcanic ash. (Sky News UK)
