On the morning of December 20th, the world's first "Zootopia" themed park was officially opened to the public at Shanghai Disney Resort. The park is inspired by the Walt Disney animated film "Zootopia" and incorporates Disney's cutting-edge technological innovation and creativity into the mammal city, inviting visitors from all over the world to enjoy a comprehensive immersive experience.
On the morning of the 20th, many tourists and Disney fans carefully dressed up and arrived at Zootopia. They took inspiration from Zootopia residents such as Judy and Nick to create their own designs and experience the rich and colorful stories of Zootopia in the first place.
Xiaolin, a girl born in the 1990s from Guangdong, told reporters that she loves the movie "Zootopia" very much. After learning about the opening of the park to the public, she quickly booked tickets, tickets, and hotels in order to experience it as soon as possible.
"I didn't expect the scenes from the movie to really appear in life, it's so touching," Xiaolin excitedly told the reporter. Her favorite character in the movie Zootopia is Judy. "When faced with setbacks, Judy's bravery and confidence always give me strength," she said
Robert Egger, CEO of Walt Disney, said, "Zootopia is a new park built in a groundbreaking and innovative way. It's exciting for tourists to come here and immerse themselves in their favorite stories and meet their beloved characters."
The animated film "Zootopia" caused a sensation in China as soon as it was released in 2016 and remains the champion of imported animated films in mainland China's film history. In this brand new theme park, the story is a continuation of the movie Zootopia. In the amusement project "Heat Tracking", tourists will embark on a thrilling adventure with police officers Judy and Nick to track down the escaped bad sheep.
Lucas, a senior amusement equipment control software engineer at Walt Disney Fantasy Engineering, introduced that this project is the first time in mainland China to adopt a trackless riding system. "This is currently the most powerful technology we use in scenic spots," Lucas said.
Lucas introduced that this innovative technology has been applied in multiple iconic attractions, including "Ratatouille: Adventure" at Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World Resort, "Lost Mansion" at Disneyland Hong Kong, and "Mickey and Minnie's Rapid Railroad" and "Star Wars: The Rise of Resistance Organizations" at Disneyland California and Walt Disney World Resort. Zootopia: Heat Tracking is the latest generation of themed attractions created using this technology.
It is reported that "Zootopia" is the second major expansion project of Shanghai Disney Resort since its grand opening in 2016, and also the eighth largest theme park of Shanghai Disneyland. While vividly recreating movie scenes, cleverly incorporating unique Chinese culture, hoping to bring surprises and joy to tourists of all ages.
