On November 29th, the 250000 ton new cruise ship "Icon of the Seas" under the Royal Caribbean brand was officially delivered, becoming the brand's 27th cruise ship, which will start its maiden voyage from Miami in January 2024.
It is reported that "Ocean Sign" has broken the world's largest cruise record of its sisters ship "Oasis Series" for 12 years, and integrated three family holiday elements of "beach leisure", "resort" and "theme park" on the cruise ship for the first time, launching eight featured theme worlds.
In January 2024, the "Ocean Sign" will make its maiden voyage from the world cruise capital Miami, operating a 7-night route to the East and West Caribbean throughout the year. Each route will travel to the private island destinations of the Royal Caribbean in the Bahamas, as well as visiting cities such as Cozumel in Mexico, Philipsburg in San Martin, and Rotan in Honduras.
According to Royal Caribbean Group's previous prediction, the demand for cruise tourism will continue to accelerate in 2024, with bookings expected to significantly exceed the level of 2019. At present, the Royal Caribbean Group has booked higher occupancy rates and prices than in previous years, while the booking window continues to be extended. The market has responded warmly to the expansion of Royal Caribbean's new ships, existing hardware, and Hidden World Beach, laying the foundation for the company to achieve strong revenue and profit growth in 2024. In the third quarter of this year, Royal Caribbean Group's total revenue was $4.2 billion, net profit was $1 billion, gross profit margin increased by 19.1% year-on-year, and net profit margin increased by 16.7% year-on-year.
