On September 10th, Viking Cruises officially launched its first Chinese coastal cruise tourism route for inbound guests from Europe and America.
The route "China Exploration Tour" is operated by the first luxury ocean liner to be naturalized in China, the "China Merchants Yidun", with Shanghai and Shenzhen as homeports, passing through ports such as Zhoushan, Dongtou in Wenzhou, Pingtan in Fuzhou, and Xiamen, leading international passengers to enjoy the "China Tour". Between September and November 2024, Viking Cruises will offer 8 voyages, and some ports along the route will also receive high-end foreign passengers for the first time.
It is reported that the passenger occupancy rate of the route departing on September 10th exceeds 70%, with American tourists accounting for about 90%. Many tourists fly from the United States to popular tourist destinations such as Beijing and Xi'an in China for a few days before boarding in Shanghai.
