American electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian stated in a document recently submitted that the company has signed an agreement with the state of Georgia in the United States to allow the construction of the planned electric vehicle factory to begin.
The agreement stipulates that Rivian will lease land and operate the factory with machinery, and the company will pay approximately $300 million in property tax for this.
At the end of 2021, Rivian announced for the first time that it would build a $5 billion electric vehicle factory outside Atlanta, Georgia. According to the plan, the new factory will hire more than 7500 employees and ultimately produce 400000 cars per year.
