Senior French officials said on Sunday (November 5th) that three French planes carrying 54 tons of aid to Gaza arrived in Egypt this weekend, and France has deployed three naval vessels in the eastern Mediterranean to prepare for the constantly changing situation.
French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna called for an "immediate humanitarian ceasefire" during her trip to Doha and warned against letting the conflict spread in the region.
In the four weeks since Hamas militants managing the Gaza Strip crossed the border, causing 1400 deaths and more than 240 hostages, Israel has repeatedly rejected calls from the international community for a ceasefire.

The French Army stated on the information platform X, formerly known as Twitter, that France's aid supplies were provided over the weekend by two Airbus A400M aircraft, which were partially armored. Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu later stated that the third A400M aircraft carrying aid supplies had arrived.

The French Army stated on the X Information Platform that a French helicopter carrier with medical support facilities, the "Tonelle", and two naval vessels are sailing in the Mediterranean.
The military added that these warships have "powerful and multifunctional equipment that can integrate the evolution of the situation in the region," but did not disclose details.
On Thursday, Defense Minister Le Cornu announced that he would dispatch a second helicopter carrier, the "Dixmud", to carry out the mission.
