On November 23rd local time, the Russian government announced that it will temporarily ban the export of scrap precious metals from December 1st, 2024 to May 31st, 2025. On September 11th this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia should consider restricting the export of strategic raw materials such as uranium, titanium, and nickel to counter Western sanctions against Russia.
